Tips to Revealing Your True Passion

Many young people, specifically high school and college graduates, are feeling a lot of pressure around this time of year. Long before the celebrations and commencement speeches begin, they’re expected to know what they’re going to do next.

If you’re one of the masses that still don’t have a plan, don’t feel bad. The good news is that you are not alone and there are many options to fill the gaps. True passion doesn’t always reveal itself overnight, and in the interim, you can still begin a meaningful start in that direction.

Finding creative ways to enhance your skills and build a resume can be easier than you think. Consider taking a practical online class in a course you think is interesting. Look for classes in skills you don’t already have or would like to become better at doing. Not only will it help create a more impressive resume, but it will also make you more career marketable in the process.

The world of online education has evolved greatly since it was first introduced. It’s now more convenient, credible, affordable and broader in scope than ever. The lists of classes are endless. Choose something useful like computer certifications, web development or even learn a new language. In the end, the best part may be that you’ll learn something about yourself at the same time and on your way to discovering your true passion.

Is Your Personal Brand Good Enough To Be Called the Best?

If you think it is, then marketing and personal branding guru, Dan Schwabel and his team are looking for you. Each year they launch a contest in search of seven individuals who express personal branding better than anyone else does.

The judging team presents the winners with gold, silver and bronze awards, website emblems and an automatic induction into the Personal Branding Hall of Fame. It gets even better for the first-place gold winner.

In addition to the other prizes, he or she will receive a Personal Branding post, their picture on the front page of the site and a feature story in an upcoming issue of Personal Branding Magazine. The magazine is one of the best sources of branding news and information- and half of its profits go to the American Cancer Society.

What are the criteria? Entries are submitted through a short (and free!) application process and judged on three key areas: branding value, how well you differentiate your personal brand and how successfully you market it. Now is the perfect time to get a head start before the 2008 winner is announced. Polish your brand and create a winning entry for the 2009 award season that will open in November.

It’s a nice incentive to begin building your personal brand. If you’re serious about making a name for yourself and just getting started, there are some great tips to help you identify the Seven Keys to Building Your Personal Brand. Imagine how great it would feel to and what it would do for your business to be named the best at being recognized.
